Proposed Federation

Dear Parents and Carers,
Following the decision not to federate with Stowford Primary school,
the governing body of Ugborough Primary school has decided to explore
the possibility of federating with another local school, ideally from
January 2011. If initial negotiations prove to be positive, there will
be another formal consultation process in the Autumn Term, with
opportunities to ask questions and express views on the new proposal.
Mr Philips has been appointed to the post of Acting Headteacher for the Autumn Term. To enable him to fulfil the responsibilities of this role, we will be employing another teacher to teach Earlscombe for two days each week.
The governors are committed to securing the best possible leadership and future for Ugborough Primary School and are working hard to secure this. There are currently two vacancies for parent governors on the governing body, and we would be very pleased to hear from anyone who feels able to take on this responsibility for the Autumn Term.
